(224)Last Memoirs of Hyderabad

Hi,

Been a gap of six months since I have been here..have so much to share that you will get sick of reading it all.For now am posting the last email conversation I had with the members of my Apartment community(Aparna Sarovar) in Hyderabad, before we left that place.

Here is the mail which I wrote and in the following are the beautiful responses giving me farewell...(One selfish interest behind posting it here is that these beautiful memories will stay forever with me)

"Hello Everyone…Good morning,Pardon me sarovarites, if this mail turns a tad lengthy and/or emotive, but I can’t leave Aparna before having said this. As less than a week left to move out of this beautiful place, I want to thank the entire community to have added in enriching in a way or other, our experience of living here for last two years. Though this is the sixth relocation in our marriage of circa nine years, never earlier have I felt so miffed about moving out. My kids, my husband and of course myself are completely in love with this place. We are hauling along with us, the delightful memories extending from – living in midst of wonderful plantations, benefitting from the sports and other amenities close at hand, building friends with amazing people, relishing the food exchange with awesome neighbors, enjoying the cultural events, and, and & upto....its a long list to go. I personally revered the opportunities to choreograph for the kids twice and dancing out dead myself during navratris and new years, very rejuvenating. There are also reminiscences etched out in my mind as regard to the people I don’t know in person but have crisscrossed with numerous times and to quote a few—wonderful mothers tirelessly administrating various activities for their kids -always enthused me, a stunningly beautiful lady( presumably in her 50s) each time i saw - inspired me to keep the zest on high, a pair of white pigeons - who sparked off friendship between me and a lovely female in F block, a gentleman cascading equal adore and attention simultaneously onto his baby and his pet(a dog) whilst playing with them in morning hours in green lawns - often motivated me to be more spirited about life and gratified of what we have, reading the email trails on apnacomplex- augmented my way of understanding various people…. wellll…..the roll again is endless…In a gist, we had a great stay here in Aparna Sarovar, and we look forward to being a part of this family in future again if time and prospects permits. Hope to find this place as effervescent and amorous whenever we see you folks again…Have a great time….Thanks again..On behalf of my family & myself Mita"

5) It is generally said that when you are buying a home for living and esply if its the first purchase don't fetter too much on finances. Reason being it's about the memories the kids, the elders and yourself carry of your home and the happiness that accompanies. I wasn't bought in much to this idea but having lived in sarovar, I now fully realize how wonderful this place has been and every penny spent has been worth it. Thanks Mita for sharing your thoughts so eloquently and good luck for future. Cheers Ramesh

8) Dear Namburi,To avoid our community from becoming too impersonal, the MC can take the lead in organizing small farewell contributory functions over a cup of tea, in the club-house, to residents who are leaving the community. The immediate neighbors & friends of the departing resident can take the lead in this regard. For the beginning it can commence with Mita & family.Mr. Porendra Pratap

9) Hi Mita,First time I see I someone really write so nice about Sarovar. Honestly, this is such a wonderful place to be. (202) Problem-Solution

Two days back, I happened to come across a beautiful thought process regarding the problem and problem solving skills. So without giving the prologue to how and why the entire tete-a-tete took place, I choose to mention the gist of the entire chat, assuming it may sound helpful to few, as it did appear to me.

So,

There are two possibilities

1.       You really don’t have any problem existing, but it may appear to you so, because of over and repeated thinking of having one. So stop thinking you have a problem.

2.       There genuinely is a problem. In this case,

·         Think over agreeably and identify the problem.

·         Accept it and accept the reality.

·         Think of the probable solutions and pin down the best amongst them.

·         If you don’t find any solution then either leave the problem or learn to live with it.

·         And a still better option is, to concentrate on other’s problems, it may help divert your attention from your pain.

I thought about the above points and added few more from my side,

It says,

·         Also seek the forgiveness.

-          Forgiveness from god.

-          Forgiveness from self.

-          And if possible, also from the person, if any, involved and got hurt.

·          And if the problem has arisen out of no faults of yours…then perhaps you are being tested for your faith.

·         If you have lost something/someone, which/who used to be with you until now, then perhaps this was all that you deserved to get.

·         If you did not get what you always wished for/worked for, then perhaps it was never meant for you, you were never meant for it.

·         Also, while thinking of other’s pain, one can also strive to solve them or help the person in pain to come out of the same.

·         Think of all the good things happened in life, good times spent with loved ones, remember all the laughter, the smiles, the happy moments, the gifts, the beautiful talks, the admiration, and the many more sweet exchanges occurred between you and your people.

·         Engage yourself in all the activities which may not only be constructive and helpful, but also be beneficial to keep the thoughts of pain and failure at bay.

·         Most importantly, learn to be content. Respect what you have got and accept that what you got was all you deserved and don’t fret about not getting what you did not. Perhaps, that might ruin the charm of the times bygone that left behind the loving memories.

·         Think of those who are less privileged than you, who got everything less than you.

·         If you have received enough love in any form, from any relationship, in any measure, at any stage of your life- to think of it and smile about, then consider yourself lucky enough to keep happy. Stop moaning, start living life with a smile.

·          Expect less, give more.

·         Have faith in the almighty, he will take care of you    all the time.

Huge expectations and non/less acceptances- of the situations in life have always put me in pain. And am sure lot of people, have the same complaint.

Let’s expect less, accept more, complain less, rejoice more, take less, give more, hate never, love more…..forgive more…be happy more and make happy more.

……………………….while I had finished thinking through all the above, a message dropped in my phone at around 4.35am …which said….

“In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.”- Buddha…

What a timely message to befit the closure to my thoughts on the above concern.

(190) Admiration

Talking with this friend over the years..one word has got pasted in my mind with his image, and that is ‘Admiration’.

Yesterday, while watching a small piece of a movie, I heard this word and straight away  got travelled into the time, whenever I spoke with him and he used the word ‘admiration’ for a particular girl. Well, not advisable to take his name here, as his wife might take this whole thing in a wrong way. So we will call him ‘him’. He was in love with a beautiful Kashmiri girl, whom he could not marry. Eventually, after moving on, he liked another girl, equally beautiful and sensible, whom he persuaded to be a part of his life and they are together. They are happily married and settled with their kid. God bless their family.

Ok, now about the word ‘admiration’, here is the story narrated as per his version. There was a girl whom he met several years ago, and developed a kind of approbation towards her. What he liked most or least about her, is still a mystery to me. Because whenever she came in conversation, she came with a tag, ‘admiration’. He always said that he had a stout admiration for her.

I have often wondered, what that admiration word could mean in his case. Of-course, I know the meaning and probable applications of it, but still, it leaves me lost in the qualms of variables, as I know both of them as individuals. I thought I would ask him someday, but then I decided to leave it as it was ,because vindication would hardly make any difference in their relationship, or so I assume. But what interests me here, is the passion he exhibits while using this word. And mind it, he never ever used any other word or words to talk about his affiliation with her. And that’s what makes it more appealing.

However, though she doesn’t sound to be the most important person of his life, but if I recall the way he emphasizes about the beauty she has brought into their bonding, I feel, her existence is significant for him. And so yet again, I am forced to think, how can a mere admiration thing make someone so crucial in else’s life. Because if I go by the dictionary meaning of it, it tours me around gestures of respect, approval or rather awe(on the romantic side)….but none of these gives me a reason to think, that sheer veneration can make someone so imperative.

So now, my course of action (after watching that piece of movie) is to make him explain me what the word ‘admiration’ means in his dictionary. Who knows, may be, it was all just about the way he narrated the story to me and I over comprehended it, or may be, he  reasons it out in a fashion that’s appropriate for everyone involved.

If I had to admire something, I would do so, and perhaps, over the period of time, I would forget about the same if I am not made to encounter with it again and again… I repeat if that was to be just an admiration….and if I had, had this mount of emotions for someone, then may be , I would not have had used just(only) the word, ‘admiration’.

Over to you…if you ever read this…and get coached up with an answer before you next call me…

Some quotes on the subject…

“There is an innocence in admiration: it occurs in one who has not yet realized that they might one day be admired.”  - Friedrich Nietzche

“Have you ever felt the longing for someone you could admire? For something, not to look down at, but up to?” – Ayn Rand

“ever since I met you I have admired you more than any girl...I have ever met since...I met you.”  - Oscar Wilde
